HISTORY

 

Centris was formed by the AUS companies in the mid 1990s to provide specialty research services to the media and entertainment industry. In 1997 it launched the first consumer-focused Omnibus program focused on the household inventory of communication and entertainment products.

 

In early 2000, as technology convergence began to accelerate, Centris expanded its market focus to include the major US providers in the voice, video and data market.

 

The breadth of depth of data collected by Centris through its ongoing survey programs formed the basis for the development of market models in the mid 2000 period. Today, these market models are used by the major industry players. They are unique since they were built on a “local basis” beginning at the census block level.

 

Ongoing data collection and market models formed the basis for clients to turn to Centris for other marketing research support. In late 2008, Centris added advanced analytic services to its product and services portfolio. In 2009, Centris began global expansion through key partnerships and academic relationships. This initiative recognized the globalization of the communication and entertainment industry. 

 

 

Today, Centris is positioned as a boutique marketing science firm supporting the world's top providers of voice, video and data services.
