ARTHUR MENKO - TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY
With over 30 years in the industry, Art has had a significant influence on the most valuable and innovative telecom technology created. Art and his team created CALMS, the hybrid model that estimates business voice and data usage and expenditures for any geography segmented by customer type. CALMS is used by the ILECs and competing carriers for competitive analysis. The FCC and state commissions utilize CALMS for regulatory proceedings.
- Art conducts economic and financial research for Telecom Public Policy. Service quality related projects and products include managing the NRIC V & VII Best Practice Study to the FCC – Survey design, fielding, statistical review and presentation. He also created the Central Office Reliability and Major Network Outage Alert reports.
- Mr. Menko has worked for companies including New York Telephone and Chase Econometrics. He is a skilled economist who has produced communications industry forecasts of the local, long distance, Cable and telecom equipment markets. He has developed econometric models for regulatory and rate making purposes, and is responsible for "Homecast" syndicated forecasts of residential communications, computers and home electronics. He earned his BA in economics from Lehigh University in 1976, and his MBA in economics and finance from New York University in 1978.
